Visiting your GP

A General Practitioner (GP) is a doctor who provides overall care for your child's physical and mental health. GPs are usually the first place to go to access specialist services, through the NHS.

They can explore the issues your child may be having with their health and give advice or information to help. If they are unable to help they can refer your child on to a more specialist doctor or to other local services.
