All children are entitled to thrive during their education, but neurodivergent learners may need extra support to find a way of working that suits them best.
While the staff at your child's preschool or school can notice the differences your child comes up against, you see your child across lots of different settings and will be able to understand them best. You are your child's best advocate, so if you notice them finding something difficult, talk to your child's setting to request help.
Below are common signs of neurodivergence in children. Identifying neurodivergent conditions is difficult as the characteristics of conditions often overlap.
If your child finds any of these areas challenging, you do not need to wait for a diagnosis to get support.
