How Does a Video Call Work?

When you join the online drop in, you will be asked to fill in your name, date of birth and phone number. We ask for a phone number so we can call you back if there are any difficulties. You will then enter an individual, secure online waiting room.

An administrator from our Just One Number team will greet you and ask for your child’s details (or yours if you are pregnant). They will firstly confirm they can access yours and/or your child's electronic health records. This is the digital record where health professionals record contacts with families.

The team will ask for a brief idea of why you are calling. This is so we can make sure you speak with the right health practitioner. The practitioner will talk to you about your reason for calling. They can give advice and think with you what might be the next best steps to take to help you and your child.

Who Can Help?

You can contact the Healthy Child Programme by calling Just One Number on 0300 300 0123 or texting Parentline on 07520 631590. Our opening hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) and 9am-1pm on Saturdays.

A member of our 0-19 team is able to complete an assessment of your child and refer to other services as needed, including: community paediatrician, speech and language therapy, hearing assessment, and vision assessment.

To speak to other Norfolk parents and carers, you can join our online community forum below.
