Services To Support You & Your Family

Start For Life

Start For Life aims to support your family from the time of conception until your child's second birthday. The first 1001 days in a child's life are known to be the most important for them and their families - what they experience in this time can have a significant impact on their health and development.

Start For Life will help you develop your parenting skills and confidence and to know what your baby needs in those important early days.

We are running a Start For Life pilot scheme in West Norfolk, working closely with midwives and the Early Childhood Family Service. The Start For Life support is offered alongside the health visiting team and maternity services and is delivered by trained assistant practitioners in your home.

Start For Life will also help with offering support for the transition to nursery as your child reaches their second birthday.

If you feel this support could be helpful and you live in West Norfolk, speak to your midwife or health visitor, or call Just One Norfolk on 0300 300 0123. The pilot scheme ends in March 2025.
