Healthy Child Services 5-19

In order to protect staff and other patients, if you have any symptoms of measles (a fever and a rash that starts from the head/neck down), and have not been vaccinated please do not attend any planned appointments.

If you have a face-to-face appointment with a member of our Healthy Child Service team, please contact Just One Number on 0300 300 0123 to discuss your appointment and rearrange a suitable time.

Just One Number & Parentline

Our Just One Number team can help you by providing health advice and information about your baby, child or young person. They are able to support you over the telephone, video call or text. Just call 0300 300 0123 or text 07520 631590 with any questions or concerns about your child's health, wellbeing, communication or development. You can also call Just One Number to change appointments or update your contact details.

This service is available from Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. The phone line can get very busy sometimes but you can leave a voicemail with your details, and a member of the team will call you back as soon as possible.

Every Morning - 10-12

Speak to a Healthy Child Service clinician via video call about your child aged 0-19. You can get advice about:

  • Infant feeding
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Child development
  • Emotional health
  • Behaviour and sleep
  • Toileting
  • And much more!

ChatHealth 07480 635060

ChatHealth is a secure NHS approved text messaging service for 11- 19 year olds.

All you need to do is text 07480 635060 to start a conversation. You will receive a response from a health practitioner. They are able to answer any messages and offer confidential support and advice to young people. 

ChatHealth is available 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Any messages sent outside these hours will receive an automated response letting young people know when they will receive a reply and who to contact to get immediate help.
